The King's Speech tops Baftas 2011 nominations list

Director Tom Hooper's historical movie The King's Speech, which stars Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter in the leads, has topped the Baftas 2011 nominations list with 14 nominations. It has been shortlisted in the categories like best film, outstanding British film, best director and best actor.

Earlier, The King's Speech was nominated in seven different categories in the Golden Globe awards 2011, but was successful in picking up just one award. Now, the movie has got highest number of nominations in the Baftas 2011 list followed by Black Swan in the second spot with 12 nods and Inception in the third place with nine nominations.
