Lamba looking forward to acting in Joker''

Mumbai, Feb 2 (PTI) Minissha Lamba, who will be seenopposite Shreyas Talpade in Shirish Kunder''s upcoming film''Joker'', is eager to tickle the viewers'' funny bone.

"I have not done much comedy films. I always wanted totry this genre. I am very much excited about this project.

I hope I would succeed in making the audiences laugh outloud," Minissha told PTI.

Directed by Kunder, ''Joker'' is a fantasy-adventurefilm made in 3D format, and stars Akshay Kumar, SonakshiSinha, Shreyas Talpade and Minnisha.

"Minissha Lamba has been cast as the heroine oppositeShreyas Talpade in ''Joker''," the director said on themicro-blogging site Twitter.

The actor declined to reveal anything about hercharacter, but said she was unperturbed by the failure ofShirish''s directorial debut ''Jaan-E-Mann''. "I always wanted towork with Shirish. When he offered me the role last week I wasso happy that I couldn''t say no," Minissha said.

The 26-year-old actor was critically acclaimed forher role in the film, ''Yahaan'', opposite Jimmy Shergill andfor ''Corporate'', where she shared the screen with Bipasha Basuand Kay Kay Menon.

"Akshay and Shreyas are too good when it comes tocomedy. They have superb comic timing," Minissha said. (MORE)PTI KKPKRK
