Marilyn Monroe's porn film was shot between 1946 and 1947. The black and white film was owned by a Spanish collector, who recently passed away. Barsa had previously commercialized the only other copy of this film, which surfaced in 1997. In a press conference, event promoter Mikal Barsa said that he expects the video to go for at least twice the initial figure.
Talking about the controversy over Marilyn Monroe's presence in the sex video, Barsa said that the documents from the FBI investigating the origin of the film and a set of jewelry worn by Monroe in the film that is the same as what she wore on other films and photos she did around that time.
