New Pirates film crosses $600 million in 12 days

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
Walt Disney Pictures' latest film Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides has grossed the $600 million at the worldwide Box Office on Sunday. The 12 days collection of the latest installment of Pirates of the Caribbean is matching the record set by Pirates of the Caribbean: At World"s End, which is the second most successful in the series, behind Dead Man's Chest.

On Stranger Tides has set a new international record by crossing the $300 million in only six days. The movie's domestic total is $164 million, while its foreign cume through Monday is an estimated $485.1 million. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie is expected to finish the Memorial Day weekend with a global cume of $649.1 million.

However, the overseas collection of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is massive and is said to continue its magic in coming days too.
