Robert Pattinson still considered for Jeff Buckley's role

Actor Robert Pattinson's name is still being considered as the favourite for the role of Jeff Buckley in his biopic. It was reported earlier that Penn Badgley was cast for the lead role. But co-producer Orion Williams has denied the reports and said that they have scheduled the preliminary talks with actor Robert Pattinson for the role.

According to the movie bosses, there has not been any official casting for the role of Jeff Buckley. Talking to the Los Angeles Times, Orion Williams said, "Penn is not involved in the film at all. It's crazy how these stories get out. (The producers) are all very unified in our search to find the perfect person to play Jeff."

Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson is very much obsessed with landing the role of Jeff Buckley. Talking about the role, the Twilight star said, "When you have a story about an individual like Jeff you get a lot of interest because his life was so impactful and so short. We're being very careful about it as we move forward. It takes a while to perfect this type of film. You've got to do it for the right reasons."

The names of James Franco, Jared Leto and James Marsden are also being considered for the role of Jeff Buckley. But it should be seen who would finally reprise the role in the biopic?
