According to the Paramount Pictures, 100,000 people participated in the Twitter promotion of the movie Super 8, which met its goal of creating a vocal group of proponents. Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, the vice chairman of the Paramount, Rob Moore said, "It was a great result, especially since there was no consumer marketing."
The movie Super 8, which is produced by Steven Spielberg, has been made with a small budget of $50 million, which is far less than other summer films of the studio. The film has moved into a total of 3,379 theaters on Thursday. The studio has been predicting an opening in the $25 million to $30 million range.
