First trailer of The Muppets releases online

The first teaser trailer for the movie The Muppets has been released online by Walt Disney. The preview video shows Jason Segel trying to get together back with Amy Adams. Then everything changes after Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and other characters on The Muppet Show turn up.

The Muppets is a comedy film and Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller have penned the script for the movie, which is being directed by James Bobin. Jason Segel is playing Gary, while Amy Adams appear as Mary. Chris Cooper, Rashida Jones, Emily Blunt, Ricky Gervais and Rachael Ray are in the supporting roles.

On a vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world's biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary (Segel) and Mary (Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets' former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways.
