3D effects of Transformers 3 cost additional $30 million

Transformers: Dark of the Moon
Michael Bay has opened up about the budget of his upcoming movie Transformers: Dark of the Moon. He has revealed that he has spent an additional $30 million on Transformers 3. The extra amount has been used to develop 3-D visual effects for the sci-fi movie, which is slated to release on June 29.

In a recent interview, director Michael Bay spoke about the 3-D effects of Transformers: Dark of the Moon. He said, "I don't think everything's right for 3-D. This was appropriate for 3-D, and it was a way to change this movie experience and a way to feel these robots. I think it worked for this picture."

Michael Bay has already released a few video clips of Transformers 3, which share quick looks at new robots. Meanwhile, Avatar fame James Cameron has praised its 3-D effects. He said, "It's pretty cool stuff. I just saw the whole picture. I like the depth. I like the fact that you're using the 3-D aggressively and really embracing it. Like you ever do anything that's not aggressive."
