True Grit rules the charts on first 2011 weekend

Los Angeles (ANI): True Grit has become the No. 1 movie in its third weekend grossing an estimated 15 million dollars Friday-Sunday. The Coen brothers' redo of the classic Western novel is by far the team's most popular movie ever, now topping 110 million dollars domestically, reports E online.

Also in its third weekend, Paltrow's Country Strong broke wide, and landed in 6th place with 7.3 million dollars. Nicolas Cage's sword-driven Season of the Witch only made 10.7 million dollars. Elsewhere, Little Fockers slipped to No. 2 after two weekends of being on top; while Black Swan barely lost a step.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and Jack Black's Gulliver's Travels both fell from the Top 10. Here's a list of the top-grossing films, per Friday-Sunday estimates compiled by Exhibitor Relations:
