Preparations for a huge party to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Pitt's parents Jane and Bill gave rose to the buzz of a secret marriage between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. However, Mickael Latz, mayor of the nearby village of Correns said that Brangelina might wed next Saturday.
Speaking to Daily Mail about their marriage taking place next Saturday, Correns said, "It's a far more likely date. There are no plans for a civil wedding in Correns this weekend." Brangelina are likely to marry in a private chapel in the grounds of their home, with civil ceremonies in France only allowed in town halls.
When asked to speak about the wedding, Patrick Mareschi, deputy culture secretary of the nearby village of Correns said he is not aware of their marriage and added, "Under French law couples have to get married at the town hall. Unlike with a religious wedding, there's no way a couple can hold a civil ceremony at their own home."
