season
of
the
fantastic
series
Survivor.
Premiering
January
9th,
Survivor:
South
Pacific
will
be
aired
from
Monday
to
Thursday
at
9.00
p.m.
The
season
was
filmed
in
the
vicinity
of
Upolu,
Samoa,
where
the
18
castaways
will
be
divided
into
two
Tribes
of
nine:
the
Savaii
Tribe
and
the
Upolu
Tribe,
named
after
the
two
islands
of
Samoa.
The
'Redemption
Island'
twist
makes
a
comeback
in
this
latest
season
of
the
show.
Last
season,
on
Survivor:
Redemption
Island,
players
who
were
voted
out
were
sent
to
Redemption
Island
to
live
in
exile
and
participate
in
one-on-one
duels.
The
winner
of
each
duel
earned
the
opportunity
to
continue
fighting
for
a
chance
to
return
to
the
game
and
to
compete
for
the
title
of
Sole
Survivor;
the
loser
was
sent
home.
The

The
tribes
are
made
up
of
individual
from
all
walks
of
life,

16
of
the
contestants
are
new
to
the
competition,
two
are
former
castaways
who
will
be
given
another
chance
to
compete
for
the
million
dollar
prize.
This
season,
the
new
castaways
are
joined
by
returning
contestants,
Oscar
'Ozzy'
Lusth
and
Benjamin
'Coach'
Wade.
