Singers Katy Perry and Britney Spears have lent their voices for the same song in the upcoming animated movie The Smurfs 2. The song 'Ooh la la' from the movie is sung by Spears and is written by Bonnie McKee. Katy Perry's vocals are in the background.
"Me and Bonnie secretly did some background vocals on that song. So maybe listen for our voices," Perry said at the movie's premiere.
The two are famous music artists and they hadn't met each other before the premiere. Perry also mentioned that she hadn't got a chance to meet Spears in person. "I can't wait to meet her," she said just before the premiere. When the two finally met, they embraced each other.
While Britney attended the premiere of The Smurfs 2 with her sons, Katy Perry had a special company. The 28-year-old Perry brought her grandmother Ann Hudson along. Hudson, who is 92-years-old wore a t-shirt which read - "I've got the hots for Papa Smurf". A source reported that Perry was more than happy to pose with her grandmother at the red carpet event.
The singer says that she shares a love-hate relationship with her grandmother. "Grandma and I, it's always been a love-hate relationship. Just always at each others' neck," Perry said.
