Kelsey Grammer to play villian in Transformers 4

Los Angeles: Actor Kelsey Grammer, who has earlier worked in movies like Teacher's Pet, Middle Men and Monsters University, will play villain in the fourth installment of the Transformers franchise, which is being directed by Michael Bay. This will be his first association with the Transformers series.

Ehren Kruger has written the script of Transformers 4, which will take place four years after the events in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The film will be a darker sequel to Transformers: Dark of the Moon and it will have a different feeling. The production, as said before by Bay, will use new smaller IMAX 3D cameras.

Shia LaBeouf will not return in any future installments. Instead, Mark Wahlberg has been cast in the lead role. Nicola Peltz will play the daughter of Mark Wahlberg's character, while Jack Reynor appears as her race car driving boyfriend. Peter Cullen, who voiced Optimus Prime in the films, will reprise his role. On May 1, 2013, Kelsey Grammer has been cast as the lead villain.

Produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, the shooting of the film Transformers 4 has started in Chicago on March 20, 2013 and is expected to continue till November 2013 in London. It is made with a whopping budget of $165 million. It is scheduled to release in theatres on June 27, 2014.
