The Croods does good collection at Indian Box Office

New Delhi: Director duo Chris Sanders and Kirk De Micco's 3D animation movie The Croods has got an impressive start at the Indian Box Office. The co-production of Fox Star Studios and DreamWorks has collected Rs 4.31 crore in desi collection centres in its opening weekend. It has also become the 4th biggest animation opener of India joining the ranks of Ice Age 4, Kung Fu Panda 2 and Madagascar 3.

"We are delighted with the fantastic weekend opening of The Croods. With stunning visual content and power packed entertainment, it is the perfect holiday film for the entire family, and we expect the numbers to increase further during the week," IANS quotes the statement of Vijay Singh, the CEO of Fox Star Studios.

The Croods is a 3D computer-animated adventure comedy film, which is set in a fictional prehistoric Pliocene era known as The Croodaceous, a period which contains fantastical creatures. The movie is all about a caveman family, which treks through an unfamiliar fantastical world with the help of an inventive boy after their cave is destroyed. Hollywood Superstars like Nicholas Cage, Ryan Reynolds and Emma Stone have given their voice for various characters in the film.
