CeeLo Green Dropped From Concert After Rape Tweets

Singer Cee-Lo Green was dropped from a US Navy-sponsored Freedom LIVE concert following his controversial tweets about rape. The singer said something insensitive about rape after recently being cleared of sexual assault charges in the court. Talking about rape, CeeLo Green tweeted, "If someone is passed out they're not even WITH you consciously! so WITH Implies consent." Is he trying to say that it is only a rape when the person is conscious?

Organizers of the gig announced that they decided to remove the rapper from the line-up in response to the controversial tweets about rape he sent out recently.

"Unfortunately, one of the performers we signed for the JBAB Freedom Live show recently posted comments on social media that we consider completely inconsistent with Navy core values," Freedom LIVE posted on its official Facebook page.

The gig will be held in Washington DC Sep 20. The Voice judge got into a trouble after posting an offensive tweet on rape. He wrote, "If someone is passed out they're not even WITH you consciously! so WITH Implies consent." Later he apologised for his 'Idiotic' tweet after being criticised badly. He wrote, "I truly and deeply apologize for the comments attributed to me on Twitter." He even wrote, "Those comments were idiotic, untrue and not what I believe."
