Hollywood Movies & Actors Creating Oscars 2016 Buzz

The race has started yet again for the Oscars 2016. Months before the Academy Awards is hosted, some of the Hollywood movies releasing this year have started creating buzz with the rave reviews.

From Eddie Redmayne's powerful performance in 'The Danish Girl' to visceral adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth, some of the movies and their leads have started garnering Oscar buzz.

With Film festival season from Venice, Toronto and New York all taking place back-to-back over the next month, it means that a clear picture of the 2016 Oscar will be seen in a while.

We have a list of Hollywood movies and talented actors who can make it to the Oscars 2016 and started creating buzz too. Meryl Streep is back again to the Oscars race for her power-packed performance in 'Suffragette'.

Rooney Mara and Cate Blanchett (Carol), Michael Fassbender (Macbeth or Steve Jobs), Eddie Redmayne (The Danish Girl), Jennifer Lawrence (Joy), Meryl Streep and Carey Mulligan (Suffragette) and Leonardo DiCaprio (The Revenant) are some of the names ready to contend for the Oscars 2016 Best Actor category.

Coming to movies- Carol, Macbeth, Steve Jobs, The Revenant, The Bridge of Spies, Suffragette, Black Mass and many more have started creating Oscar buzz.

Steve Jobs

Danny Boyle has cast Michael Fassbender as Jobs in the biopic which releases on 9th October. It is based on a screenplay written by Aaron Sorkin, which was adapted from Walter Isaacson's biography Steve Jobs. Both the movie and actor are strong contenders for Oscars 2016.

Eddie Redmayne

Eddie who won Best Actor award at Oscars 2015 is back with The Danish Girl. tells the story of one of the world's first transgender transformations and the actor has started creating Best Actor buzz.

Suffragette

Inspired by true events, the movie shows Suffragette movement of women, Britain's long and violent journey toward granting women the right to vote in the early 20th century. Starring Meryl Streep and Carey Mulligan, the movie has created high Oscar expectations!

Straight Outta Compton

The biopic on the legendary N.W.A is getting rave reviews and might make it to the Oscars.

Macbeth

Again Michael Fassbender with his powerful performance in the visceral adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth is creating buzz.

The Bridge of Spies

The powerful duo of Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks needs no introduction. Set during the Cold War, the biopic is already attracting a lot of early awards buzz.

The Revenant

Leonardo DiCaprio can make it Oscars yet again with his new film, The Revenant directed by none other than, 2015's Oscar winning direction, Alejandro González Iñárritu.

Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp portrays Boston gangster turned FBI informant Whitey Bulger in the film which based on the 2001 book Black Mass: The True Story of an Unholy Alliance Between the FBI and the Irish Mob by Dick Lehr and Gerard O'Neill. The movie was recently premiered at the Venice Film Festival and the performance of Depp has got a lot of accolades setting him in for the Oscars race.

Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara

Rooney Mara won the Best Actress award at Cannes 2015 for her performance in Carol. Based on Patricia Highsmith's novel "The Price Of Salt", the movie is set in 1950s New York, where a department-store clerk begins a relationship with an older, married woman (Cate Blanchett). Cate too is getting lot of accolades for her role and creating Oscar buzz.

Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence is starring in David O Russell (American Hustle and Silver Linings Playbook), Joy where she plays the famous TV personality and entrepreneur, Joy Mangeno. The powerful trio, JLaw, Bradley Cooper and David O Russell have made it to Oscars twice with the actress sweeping Oscars in 2014 for Silver Linings Playbook.
