Bruce Jenner has not just shocked his family especially kids with his desire to transition into a woman. The former athlete has recently opened up about his wish of becoming a woman to his mother, Esther Jenner.
Esther has reportedly confirmed that the 65-year-old is preparing to undergo a sex change operation.
For a couple of months, the Olympic athlete and American reality TV star has been rumoured to be transitioning into a woman. He has even given some public appearances donning pedicured nails, waxed hands and legs, and long hair.
It all started when he got his voice box removed from the throat which is considered as a sign of a man.
Esther Jenner revealed to Radar Online, "I just learned about [his transition]. Bruce filled me in, and we had a very long, long talk about it."
So how did she react hearing his wish of transitioning into a woman? "I have never been more proud of Bruce for who he is, himself as a father, as an Olympian, a wonderful public speaker. He instills enthusiasm in people. He's gifted," she told.
She feels that this decision post his gender battle is adding more pride than the moment when he won the gold medal. "I am more proud of him now than when he stood on that podium and put the gold medal around his neck. He deserves all the respect."
Bruce Jenner's mom also confirmed that her love will never change for her son regardless of his decision which might not be acceptable to many. "I support him wholeheartedly. I just love him like I always have."
Meanwhile, Bruce Jenner after getting all support from his family, former wife and kids has decided to go public and declare his decision of gender transitioning. Reportedly, Bruce will speak about his transition to ABC journalist Diane Sawyer who is a supporter of LGBT community.
