Atomic Kitten singer Natasha Hamilton was at the third place, closely followed by funnyman Bobby Davro in fourth.
After the announcement, James Hill was shocked over his win and said, "I never expected it, ever!"
Host Emma Willis too agreed and said she would never have picked him as the victor when the series began!
"I've no idea why the public have picked me, but I've tried to put others first and just have a great time in the house", he said.
Talking about the unexpected friendship inside the house where all contestants fight to survive, James said, "You don't go in to make friends, but you do naturally. I got close to some people who hopefully I'll be friends for the rest of my life with. I'm a loner, but to have someone in the house to lean on was so special", he said referring to his new bestie, Austin.
"I hope we'll have a great friendship. What a man, he's got a massive heart."
