Awards
history!
Setting
a
record
for
the
most
Emmys
won
by
a
single
show
in
a
single
year,
Game
of
Thrones
made
sure
it
ruled
the
night.
The
previous
record
holder
was
"The
West
Wing" at
nine.
Game
of
Thrones
surpassed
the
record
by
netting
eight
wins
at
the
Creative
Arts
Emmys
last
week,
and
now
adding
four
more
statuettes
to
the
list
at
the
main
event,
totalling
to
12
wins
this
year!
The
outstanding
drama
series
Emmy
went
to
"Game
of
Thrones,"
and
Outstanding
drama
which
counted
to
a
record
of
12
wins.
Peter
Dinklage
won
best
supporting
actor
in
a
drama.
The
HBO
series
also
won
in
both
directing
and
writing
categories
for
drama
series,
with
David
Nutter
for
directing
and
David
Benioff
and
D.B.
Weiss
for
writing,
both
for
the
"Mother's
Mercy"
episode.
