What the hell! This comes as a shocking news for all the Fifty Shades fans who were awaiting the release of the new book, 'Grey.'

British author, E.L. James behind the bestselling Fifty Shades trilogy was releasing the new book, 'Grey' which is based on the perspective of Christian Grey, but the book is reportedly missing days before its release.

It was reported that the erotic book which is based on the view of Christian Grey was found missing and a complaint was filed.

Police have now started an investigation amid fears that it could be sold in the black market days before the release. The theft is now being investigated alongside its publishers Penguin Random House, amid concerns that extracts from the highly-anticipated erotic novel will be sold to the highest bidder on the black market, reports Mirror.co.uk.

Representatives for Penguin Random House have not yet commented due to the ongoing police investigation.

'Grey' which was set to be released on June 18th by E.L. James, is a re-imagining of the original book and told from billionaire Christian Grey's perspective. Meanwhile, the film adaptation of the first book from the trilogy, Fifty Shades of Grey of the same name released on Valentine's Day this year and the sequel, Fifty Shades Darker is going to release in 2017.
