movie
star
Jackie
Chan's
son
Jaycee
Chan's
was
sentenced
to
six
months
in
jail
on
Friday
in
Beijing.
Beijing's
Dongcheng
District
People's
Court
also
fined
Jaycee
2,000
yuan
($326)
after
convicting
him
of
providing
a
venue
for
drug
users,
Xinhua
reported.
His
trial
started
earlier
in
the
day.
On
Aug
14,
2014,
Beijing
police
detained
various
people,
including
Jaycee
and
Taiwan
movie
star
Ko
Chen-tung,
for
drug
offences.
Jaycee
Chan,
the
31-year-old
movie
and
TV
actor
is
also
known
as
Fang
Zuming.
Jaycee
and
Kai
are
the
new
celebrities
to
get
caught
for
drug
abuse.

The
People's
Procuratorate
of
Dongcheng
district
in
Beijing
filed
charges
against
Jaycee
Dec
22
for
providing
a
venue
for
drug
users.
In
the
same
month,
Beijing
Trade
Association
for
Performances
and
42
art
agencies
and
groups
had
signed
an
agreement
to
boycott
celebrities
who
take
drugs.
Reportedly,
the
companies
are
asked
to
avoid
giving
work
to
drug-using
actors
or
using
tainted
celebrities
for
promotional
events.
Jackie
Chan
has
apologised
to
the
public
for
Jaycee's
offences.
He
said
that
in
future
Jaycee
can
learn
from
his
mistake.
During
the
trial,
Jaycee
said
he
deserved
punishment
because
he
violated
the
law.
He
said
he
would
never
repeat
the
mistake,
and
hoped
to
be
forgiven
by
the
public.
According
to
Chinese
law,
the
maximum
sentence
for
such
a
crime
is
three
years
in
prison
as
well
as
a
fine.
