Justin Bieber was the big winner at MTV European Music Awards which was held at the iconic Mediolanum Forum in Milan, Italy, taking home 5 awards at for Best Male, Best Look, Best Worldwide Act: North America, Biggest Fans and Best Collaboration.
Justin won 5 of the 6 prizes he was nominated for. It is his sixth year of victory in a row! The Canadian singer set the stage on fire while performing his hit 'What Do YOu Mean'. When he took to the stage, he told his fans that he won the second accolade.
Thanking his fans from the bottom of his heart, Justin said, "I don't take any of these moments for granted, you guys are unbelievable. That's where I belong, right up there on that stage."Everybody was curious to see his performance as he had broke into tears on stage during MTV Video Music Awards in August.
While accepting his first award he said, "Wow, thank you. It's been a long couple of years, um, I just feel like this is pretty awesome to be recognised for my music. I just want to say thank you to all of my fans, you guys are really incredible."
" I want to thank you mom and my dad, and God, and everyone who helped me get to this place. I love you, thank you." He said thanking his family. Justin's family has always been very supportive of him. He family was right there to back him up even when his bare frontal pictures circulated all over the internet!
"It's been a long couple of years. I just feel like this is pretty awesome to be recognized for my music," the 'Mistletoe' singer said. Well, Justin sure has a very huge lady fan following indeed! We shouldn't be surprised to witness him take home the Best Look and Biggest Fans Awards.
The event was hosted by Singer Ed Sheeran and 'The Orange Is New Black' star, Ruby Rose. Among the female artists, Rihanna and Taylor Swift won one award each, but absent in person to collect the award.
Taylor Swift was nominated for 9 categories, but won just Best Song Award. Rihanna won Best Female and Nicki Minaj won for Best Hip Hop. Coldplay took home the Best Rock Award.
Many artists took to the stage to perform and night couldn't have been more spectalucar. The event was brought to an end by Pharell Williams who did the closing song. He performed for 'Freedom' accompanied by many colorful dancers.
