Mark Zuckerberg, announced the birth of his daughter with wife Priscilla Chan on Tuesday, December 01, 2015. The founder and CEO of Facebook wrote an open letter to his new born saying he's going to give away 99% of his share for good causes!

The billionaire took to Facebook to welcome his first child, who was born last week, but wasn't shown to the world until yesterday. In the letter that he wrote his daughter, he and his wife have vowed to give away a whooping amount of $45 Billion to 'Chan Zuckerberg Initiative'.

Mark and priscilla have named their daughter as 'Maxima'. In the open letter Mark says, he and his wife have made the decision together keeping in mind a good future for their new born. They want to make the world a better place for her.

He says, the main aim of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative is, is "to advance human potential and promote equality for all children in the next generation". The other areas of focus would be "curing disease, connecting people and building strong communities".

"We will give 99% of our Facebook shares-currently about $45 billion-during our lives to advance this mission. We know this is a small contribution compared to all the resources and talents of those already working on these issues. But we want to do what we can, working alongside many others."

The couple has decided to work towards the above mentioned programs post their paternity and maternity leaves. Mark has decided to remain the CEO of Facebook in the future,too. He said, "many, many years to come,"
