mourning

death
of

step-granddaughter,
E'Dena
Hines
who
was
stabbed
to
death
in
the
early
hours
of
Sunday
morning
in
New
York
City,
PEOPLE
reports.
Hines
who
was
33-years-old,
was
the
granddaughter
of
Freeman's
first
wife,
Myrna
Colley-Lee.
She
was
found
lying
in
the
street
outside
her
home
on
the
400
block
of
W.
162nd
Street
at
about
3
a.m.,
where
she
was
suffering
from
multiple
stab
wounds
to
her
chest,
according
to
the
statement.
Hines
was
taken
by
EMS
to
Harlem
Hospital
and
pronounced
dead.
The
granddaughter
of
the
American
actor
was
studying
acting
at
New
York
University's
prestigious
Graduate
Acting
Program,
according
to
her
website.
In
a
statement
to
the
People,
Morgan
Freeman
reflected
on
her
talent
and
how
she
touched
the
lives
of
people
around
her.

said.
"Her
friends

family
were

enough
to
have
known
what
she
meant
as

30-year-old
man
was
taken
into
custody
at
the
scene.
