Academy Award winner Patricia Arquette is celebrating her 47th birthday today (April 8th, 2015). The actress who got worldwide recognition for her performance in Boyhood earned her the first Oscar nomination and win this year.

Patricia Arquette who won the Best Supporting Actress for Boyhood ruled 2015's award season with Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Critics' Choice Award, Golden Globe Award, Independent Spirit Award, and SAG Award win.

Apart from playing in movies, Patricia also acted in TV shows. She played real life psychic Allison DuBois in the supernatural drama series Medium for seven seasons (2005-11) for which she received three Golden Globe nominations and two Emmy Award nominations, winning the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama in 2005.

Recently, Random House publisher announced that she is going to pen a memoir about her "unconventional family," single parenthood and life in Hollywood.

After playing a teen mom and a boarding school student on TV, Patricia made her film debut in Chuck Russell's A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors in 1987.
