Top 10 Late Night Talk Show Hosts

After being a host for 17 years, political satirist Jon Stewart is quitting 'The Daily Show' later this year. The late-night host announced that he is stepping down from his hosting duties during a taping of today's show. Later, Comedy Central also confirmed his departure from the show.

This comes as a real shock for Comedy Central after Stephen Colbert ended his Colbert Report to take over for David Letterman as the host of the 'Late Show'.

Another late night show host, Jimmy Fallon is biding goodbye to his TV show. Jimmy Fallon is leaving 'Late Night' for 'The Tonight Show'. Seth Meyers is taking over 'Late Night', James Corden is taking over Craig Ferguson as the host of the 'Late Late Show'.

Johnny Carson

The American star hosted The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson for 30 years and is considered as the American icon until he retired in 1992.

Jimmy Fallon

After hosting Late Night from 2009-2014, Jimmy quit and joined "The Tonight Show," which was recently vacated by Jay Leno after 22 years. He tried his luck in SNL (Saturday Night Live) and movies as well. However, his TV show shot him to fame.

Stephen Colbert

He is one of the best TV show hosts who has The Colbert Report (2005-14) and Late Show (2015) in his credit.

Jay Leno

Jimmy Fallon might have replaced him, but Leno too entertained us. He was selected and then re-selected to host 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno' (1992-2014).

Jimmy Kimmel

He is another celebrity favourite and an entertaining TV host who started Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2003. He was before seen in 'Win Ben Stein's Money' (1997-2003). Jimmy Kimmel Live was first aired at an odd time, 12:05 am. Jimmy and Matt Damon's feud makes it a must watch show.

Bill Maher

He was the host of the famous Politically Incorrect (1993-2002) which was cancelled by Mickey Mouse network in 2002 following his comments on 9/11 terror attack. He know speaks his mind in 'Real Time' which started in 2003.

Cannon O'Brein

The comedian started with Late Night (1993-2009) and then went to The Tonight Show in 2009 for a year after being replaced by former host of the show, Jay Leno. Now he hosts his own show, Conan since 2010. Before hosting, he was a writer for SNL and The Simpsons.

David Letterman

Forget his humour and leg pulling skills. David had been one of the best TV hosts who was seen in 'The David Letterman Show' and 'Late Night' Late Show' from 1993-2015).

Craig Ferguson

He was the host of 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson', an Emmy Award-nominated, Peabody Award-winning late-night talk show that aired on CBS from 2005 to 2014.

Jon Stewart

From stand-up comedian to TV host, Jon Stewart has been on TV and is the host of The Daily Show, a satirical news program that airs on Comedy Central. However, he announced his retirement after appearing for 17 years on the show.
