In the recent events, when Leslie Jones suffered a huge surge of sexist and racist insults from the internet, trolls over the all-female remake of the original Ghostbusters movie, she found none other than Dan Aykroyd , the writer of the original movie, in her support.

The cast member and co-writer of the 1984 classic Ghostbusters movie, has spoken out in defence of Leslie Jones and has slammed the critics severely, calling them "Losers".

In a recent interview Aykroyd, heaped a lot of praise for the female actor, termed her as "a great writer, a great comedian" who has come to this point of success overcoming "a lot of hardship" in her life.

He also got furious over the issue and thrashed the online haters who kept on harassing Leslie, calling them insignificant gnats and jobless losers, who even can't probably pay for their WiFibills.

"First of all, they're insignificant gnats," "They're losers. They have no lives of their own. They can probably barely pay for the Wi-Fi they're using, probably no jobs".

"I would say you're looking at obese white men between 50 and 60 who are active [Ku Klux] Klan members or members of the Aryan Nation[s], and there are millions of them."
