Renowned
actor,
David
Schwimmer
has
said
that
Will
Smith's
role
in
Men
In
Black
was
originally
offered
to
him,
but
he
turned
down
the
offer
at
that
moment
due
to
several
reasons.
The
49-year-old
star
revealed
that
he
could
not
grab
that
golden
opportunity
at
that
time
because
of
two
particular
reasons,
one
because
of
bad
timing
and
another,
the
loyalty
towards
his
friends.
"At
the
time,
Ross,
was
directing
his
first
film
and
wanted
to
cast
his
entire
theatre
company,
which
was
made
up
of
his
old
friends.
So,
that
was
my
goal...
To
bring
everyone
up
with
me,
to
give
everyone
a
shot." He
said.
"And
I
did
it.
And
the
next
year
it
was
set
to
go
into
production
in
Chicago.
And
it
was
called
Dog
Water
?
Now
it's
called
Since
You've
Been
Gone.
But
I
shot
my
first
film
and
the
entire
theatre
company
is
in
it," he
added.
"I
told
everyone
in
the
theatre
company,
You're
all
cast,
here
are
your
roles,
don't
take
any
other
jobs
for
this
six-week
period,"
said
Schwimmer.
Schwimmer
said
that
all
his
cast
and
members
had
turned
down
the
other
offers
because
of
the
first
film.
And
just
before
its
production
started,
he
got
a
call
from
the
Men
In
Black
franchise,
which
he
had
to
turn
down
without
even
giving
a
second
thought.
