One of the most important characters from "Harry Potter" is heading to mark his appearance in the "Fantastic Beasts" franchise. And he is none other than Dumbledore himself.
According to the producer of Fantastic Beasts, David Heyman (who also produced the "Harry Potter" series), the character of Albus Dumbledore is so strong and vital that he has to make an appearance in the 'Fantastic Beasts' sequel as well.
Heyman also admits that one necessarily does not need to read J.K. Rowling's books to understand and enjoy Fantastic Beasts. However, he says it is imperative to bring Dumbledore in the new series sooner or later.
"As we move on the connective tissues will become more explicit," said Heyman.
"Dumbledore is in the next movie, you will see the connections become more overt. I think it will be great stuff for Potter fans and non-Potter fans." He added further.
There are, at this time, little or no details available about the script and the story for the second Fantastic Beasts film. However, rumour has it that another character Gellert Grindelwald, as the dark wizard, might join alongside Dumbledore.
According to the sources, casting for the character of Dumbledore is already on process and it is believed that Richard Harris' son Jared Harris might be seen donning the hat.
The Fantastic Beasts sequel is all set to release in 2018.
