The Supreme Court in New York refused to release the 'tik tok' singer from Sony contract. Kesha broke down in tears when the final verdict was out, as she has to continue working with Dr Luke, who allegedly sexually assaulted her!
On Friday, February, 19, 2016, the Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreich told that Sony would suffer 'irreparable harm' if Kesha doesn't complete her contract with the company.
She needs to make 6 more albums as per the contract, and the singer alleges that Sony wouldn't promote her music if she doesn't work with Dr Luke, who is a music producer.
Though the Court has given the singer the choice to work with other producers, she believes it could destroy her career.
According to Kesha's allegations, she was drugged and raped just after her 18th birthday by Dr Luke. He supposedly even threatened to take away her publishing rights.
The 28 years old singer filed a civil suit against the producer in Los Angeles last October alleging that he drugged her with 'sober pills' and sexually assaulted the singer, later.
However, the music producer who wasn't present in the court room, denied the allegations and said that the singer only trying to injure his reputation and he didn't indulge in any such obscene activity with her.
Many of Kesha's fans stood outside the court room with slogans reading, 'Free Kesha'. They were in tears when the verdict was out. Kesha even hugged a fan and cried while she was leaving.
Many celebrities took to Twitter to support the singer. Lady Gaga tweeted, 'There are people all over the world you love @KeshaRose. And I can say truly I am in awe of your bravery.'
And Lorde said, 'standing with @KeshaRose through this traumatic, deeply unfair time. Send good vibes her way everyone'
The singer was accompanies by her beau. They were seen leaving
to LA after the final judgment.
She only said, 'I'm praying. I'm hoping,' that the case would go her way.
