The 29 years old 'Poker Face' singer will be performing at the Grammys, today, February 15, 2016 and paying tribute to the iconic singer David Bowie. To express her love for the musician, Lady Gaga got a David Bowie face Tattoo on her rib cage.
The singer documented the entire process and shared it with her fans on Snapchat. She got her the tattoo on her left side, and it happens to be her 18th ink!
The tattoo was done by Mark Mahoney at the Shamrock Club in West Hollywood. The picture of David Bowie's in the tattoo is a copy of the Aladdin Sane album cover.
Lady Gaga patiently laid on the side as the artists traced the music icons face. She sported some strog make-up and a bright out fit.
The tattoo is made using purple ink and had slight shading. She captioned one of the videos as 'This was the image that changed my life.'
Gaga had once told a magazine, 'When I fell in love with David Bowie, when I was living on the Lower East Side,'
'I always felt that his glamour was something he was using to express a message to people that was very healing for their souls.' She added.
The executive producers of Grammys revealed last week that post David Bowie's death, they had just one artist on their minds to pay him tribute and it was Lady Gaga.
They said, 'We had already booked Lady Gaga on this year's show, but when David passed - almost in a single moment - we knew we had to change direction,'
After getting the tattoo, she was seen exiting the tattoo parlour in the most calmest way. In a few hours from now, Lady Gaga will be gracing the Grammys stage.
