Pacific Rim 2 Is Scheduled For February 2018 Release

Good news for the Pacific Rim movie lovers as the sequel to the sci-fi movie is heading soon to the theaters in the next two years, as per the reports. Star Wars famed John Boyega is all set to star in the movie, which is expected to release in February 2018.

The upcoming sequel to the movie is the follow-up from 2013's super hit sci-fi movie Pacific Rim,which made a business of more than $410 million worldwide in contrast to the production budget of $190 million. This actually made the franchise to come up again, with the second part.

Daredevil fame director Steven S. DeKnight is all set to direct the film. The producers are keen to take time on the script as they want to come up with a unique experience in all the aspects.

Boyega and his manager Femi Oguns, will also serve as producers. The first 'Pacific Rim,' directed by del Toro, also starred Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day and Robert Kazinsky. The story of the movie is expected to be different from the previous release.

Previously'Pacific Rim',was set in the backdrop of near future, where people were fighting a war with the alien monster named Kaiju. The monster had emerged from the interdimensional portal located at the base of the Pacific Ocean.
