Bridget Jones's Baby actor Patrick Dempsey has revealed his wish to continue featuring in the upcoming installment of the Romantic Comedy series.
Dempsey, 50, who had joined the franchise as a critical character and portrayed the love interest of Bridget, says he would like to come back in the follow-up.
The actor says that he is eager to get more outings as the character titled 'Jack Qwant', a handsome billionaire who competes for Bridget's love with Mark Darcy, Bridget's long-term lover. The character of Mark Darcy is played by Colin Firth.
"People are growing up with Bridget and growing older with Bridget... There's a potential of taking her all through her life and that would be fun to be a part of that journey sure," said Dempsey.
It is learned that, Colin Firth is also eager to continue his role in the series as Mark.
"I've never made any declarations about what I would or wouldn't do ever, I never said I wouldn't come back for a third one (film). I imagined I wouldn't, a number of years ago I didn't feel there was a third one to be made," said Colin.
"It's like anything, you show me a decent script and if everyone's enthusiastic about it and back to do it again then it's possible". He added further.
