Renowned
Hollywood
star
and
the
Green
Lantern
actor,
Ryan
Reynolds
feels
that
poor
script
was
the
key
reason
that
the
movie
failed
miserably
at
the
box-office.
According
to
the
actor,
Warner
Bros
was
mostly
concerned
about
the
release
date
of
the
movie
than
actually
making
the
script
prepared.
And
as
a
result
movie's
tone
failed
to
harp
on
a
particular
note
and
the
final
product
was
generic.
However,
Ryan
Reynolds
heaped
high
praise
on
Deadpool
and
says
a
well-researched
script
has
been
the
true
reason
for
the
movie's
success,
unlike
Green
Lantern.
"Well
it's
simple:
Deadpool
always
knew
what
it
was.
With
Green
Lantern,
I
don't
think
anyone
ever
figured
out
exactly
what
it
was.
That
isn't
to
say
the
hundreds
of
men
and
women
didn't
work
their
fingers
to
the
bone
to
make
it
as
good
as
possible." Said
Ryan
Reynolds
in
a
statement.
"It
also
fell
victim
to
the
process
in
Hollywood
which
is
like
poster
first,
release
date
second,
script
last.
At
the
time,
it
was
a
huge
opportunity
for
me
so
I
was
excited
to
try
and
take
part
in
it."
Reynolds
added
further.
According
to
the
reports,
DC
Extended
Universe
is
planning
to
launch
a
reboot
version
of
the
Green
Lantern
Corps.
and
has
been
scheduled
for
a
2020
release.
