'Titanic Was An Experiment': Leonardo DiCaprio Talks Kate Winslet & His Career

Nearly two decades have passed since the movie was made, but still one couldn't stop talking about it! Yes, we are talking about the legendary movie Titanic. Actor Leonardo DiCaprio revealed that 'Titanic Was An Experiment'.

While talking to Deadline magazine, Leonardo said, 'Titanic was very much an experiment for Kate Winslet and I. We'd done all of these independent movies.'

'I loved her as an actress and she said, 'Let's do this together, we can do this.' We did it, and it became something that we could've never foreseen.' he continued.

They might have acted in the movie to experiment with their career, but Titanic went to become so famous that it became a topic in every household and the actors rose to fame tremendously.

The film grossed $2.18 worldwide! Until date, Titanic is one of the highest grossing movies. Talking about the fame he gained trough the movie, Leonardo said,

'We never predicted that it would be what it was, and I said, 'Okay, slow down. Let all this pass a little bit, and let's get back to...find something that...I knew it was going to be an adjustment,'

He also told how it was real hard for him to get lead roles in the movies until Titanic. Explaining the past he said, 'It was always, 'Can I have this role, please? There's a low budget movie, will you let me audition for the starring role?'

The actors Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio have remained friends since Titanic. Recently, the duo was seen sharing a cordial kiss during the Golden Globes 2016.
