Actor David Cassidy Suffering From Acute Memory Loss Disease

David Cassidy reveals that he has been suffering from dementia, says he knew it was coming.

The 66-year-old celebrated American actor David Cassidy, famous for his role as Keith Partridge in the 1970s drama series titled The Partridge Family, states that he has been suffering from acute memory loss disease.

Cassidy said that he had watched his grandfather suffer the same disease. His mother also had suffered the same until she died at the age of 89. He also stated that he had always known this was coming.

"I was in denial, but a part of me always knew this was coming."

Cassidy recalls her mother's struggle with the dementia disease, "In the end, the only way I knew she recognized me is with one single tear that would drop from her eye every time I walked into the room. ... I feared I would end up that way."

With his condition getting worse by the day, Cassidy has cut down on his acting and music career and stopped touring considering his health and happiness. The actor said he had even struggled to remember the song lyrics, which he has been singing for over 50 years.

"I want to focus on what I am, who I am and how I've been without any distractions, I want to love. I want to enjoy life." Said the actor.
