The
renowned
American
producer,
screenwriter,
and
director
David
Ayer,
who
has
helmed
the
2016
controversial
superhero
film
Suicide
Squad,
which
did
a
moderate
business
at
the
box
office,
says
he
would
like
to
travel
back
in
time
and
make
certain
changes
in
the
film,
Suicide
Squad.
The
49-year-old
film-maker
who
has
struggled
a
lot
in
his
younger
days
and
worked
as
a
house
painter,
states
that
his
attempt
to
create
an
interesting
movie
with
some
of
the
most
notorious
villains
of
DC
Comics
hasn't
worked
the
way
he
would
have
liked.
And
so
the
director
now
wishes
to
go
back
in
time
and
make
certain
changes
in
the
movie
Suicide
Squad.
He
also
said
that
he
should
have
'engineered
a
more
grounded
story'
for
the
character
of
The
Joker
portrayed
by
Jared
Leto.
"Wish
I
had
a
time
machine.
I'd
make
Joker
the
main
villain
and
engineer
a
more
grounded
story.
I
have
to
take
the
good
and
bad
and
learn
from
it.
I
love
making
movies
and
I
love
DC
Comics." David
Ayer
said
in
a
twitter
post.
"I'm
a
high
school
drop-out
and
used
to
paint
houses
for
a
living.
I'm
lucky
to
have
the
job
I
have.
I
have
to
give
the
characters
the
stories
and
plots
they
deserve.
Real
talk."
The
director
added
further.
