Two times Grammy Award-winning songwriter, DJ and record producer David Guetta, who was scheduled to perform at the heart of Bengaluru, India on Thursday night, 12th January 2017 has been canceled due to security reasons.

According to the organizer, the David Guetta concert has been canceled on the grounds of the troubled law and order condition prevailing in Karnataka following the unfortunate incident of molestation on the New Year's Eve.

The money raised from this event would have been directed towards educating underprivileged children. But it is unfortunate to call off at the last moment, explained the Sunburn CEO Karan Singh.

"Due to the present law and order situation in Bengaluru following the events that transpired around New Year's Eve, the authorities have recommended against holding the David Guetta concert scheduled today in the city." Said Karan Singh.

"We at Sunburn tried our very best to make it happen but the authorities understandably are not prepared to take any chances. Hence, today's concert, unfortunately, stands canceled," he added.

However, Singh is hopeful of rescheduling the event in Bangalore "subject to approval from the artist and the respective authorities".

"We will be back with more information as soon as possible. Bookmyshow will be in touch with all ticket holders for the next steps. Other shows in Mumbai, New Delhi and Hyderabad are on as per schedule," Singh added further.
