The Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire is all set to return in a grand new role of helming the camera for his directorial debut on Norwegian writer Jo Nesbo's internationally acclaimed novel titled
Blood on Snow.
The 41-year-old Spider-Man actor, who has recently lent his voice to the animated film The Boss Baby, is all set to make his debut into directing after having successfully tried hands at acting and producing.
However, Leonardo DiCaprio was very much interested in making a film on the same, and even though at one time his production company Appian Way Productions was also seeking to work on this project, scheduling conflict had left it available for Tobey Maguire to grab and close the deal.
Lawrence Grey's production company Grey Matter Productions and Tobey Maguire's Material Pictures have jointly grabbed the rights for the screen adaption of Jo Nesbo's Blood on Snow. It is also rumoured that Tobey Maguire will also make his acting return along with directing the film.
Blood on snow will tell a story about a hitman who falls in love with the subject he is about to kill.
After being at the peak of success with Spider-Man as an actor, Tobey Maguire is now all set to give his career a new shape altogether which might turn into a career transition moment for him.
