Hollywood Awards season marks its end with the celebration of 89th Annual Oscar Awards on Sunday night, live from Dolby Theatre Los Angeles, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.

La La Land has been the movie of the season grabbing all and every possible award as it can, on it way to the Oscars. And here the film has acquired the highest number of nominations in the history of Academy Awards with a tie with only two other films All About Eve and Titanic.

Oscars 2017

This Damien Chazelle's movie is on its way to challenge the record mark set for highest Oscar win ever. Earlier it was 11, won by films like Titanic, Ben-Hur and The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.

Apart from La La Land, there are other serious contenders for Oscars this year. The film Moonlight has nabbed a whopping eight Oscar nominations and so did Denis Villeneuve's Arrival. Both the films are fighting for the Best Picture slot at the Oscars.

Even films like Hacksaw Ridge, Fences, Hidden Figures, Hell or High Water, Lion, and Manchester by the Sea, all are competing each other for the top spots at the Oscars.

Now talking about individual awards, the La La Land again comes up with its beautiful actress Emma Stone, who is looking forward to snatch the award here.

The Best Supporting Actress award might go to Viola Davis for Fences, and Mahershala Ali from Moonlight may get the Best Supporting Actor. Well, Best Actor is the catch here.

There are many strong contenders in this category, however, Denzel Washington and Casey Affleck might be the one among all to get this ultimate glory.
