Barbie Vs Oppenheimer Day 2 India Collection: The global box office saw the biggest clash of Hollywood with the highly-anticipated Greta Gerwig's Barbie and Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer making their grand opening at theatres. Both films are having successful runs at the Indian box office.
But as per reports, it is ace director Christopher Nolan's biographical movie thriller Oppenheimer that has been making ripples at Indian cinemas and has overpowered Barbie. As the day 2 reports for both movies are out, let's take a look at who has scored how much.
Oppenheimer day 2 box office collection India
Headlined by Chillian Murphy, Oppenheimer is ruling at the Indian box office. The film seems to be the first preference of moviegoers. Oppenheimer achieved an impressive Rs 13.50 crore net on its opening day, surpassing the opening day earnings of movies like Fast X and Mission Impossible, both of which had collected around Rs 12 crore net.
Meanwhile, on day 2, the film in India earned Rs 17 crore in all languages, according to trade website Sacnilk. With this, the film's total collection stands at Rs 31.50 crore. Its English version has minted Rs 12.75 crore,while the Hindi version has made Rs 1.75 crore.

On the other hand, Barbie witnessed a rise on its day 2, but is still trailing behind Oppenheimer. Having opened at Rs 5 crore, the fantasy drama starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in the lead, Barbie, on its second day, added Rs 6.58 crore in India. This brings the film's overall total to Rs 17.74 crore.
On the contrary, Barbie is outperforming Oppenheimer at the international box office. It is expected to make a jaw-dropping $155 million opening weekend collection, while Nolan's Oppenheimer is said to conclude the weekend with $77 million in the US. According to a report, Barbie and Oppenhimer's collective weekend earnings could emerge as the "fourth-biggest weekend of all time" in the US.
Helmed by Greta Gerwig, Barbie is inspired by the beloved Barbie fashion dolls, which show Barbie and Ken leaving their perfect pink Barbie land and facing the challenges of living among humans.
While Oppenheimer is based on the life of physicist Dr J. Robert Oppenheimer, who was also known as the father of the atomic bomb that was used in World War II against Japan. Besides Cillian Murphy, it also stars Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr, and Florence Pugh.
