Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Liam Hemsworth) take on the world and deliver loads of dhamaka, even better than its prequel, The Expendables.
The film takes off immediately and you find your favourite heroes doing the impossible - running through jungles, jumping between tanks and explosions. Phew! Many scenes might seem as mindless to many! But for all those who love to see these men of steel do incredible stunts, The Expendables 2 is the right film to watch this weekend.
Throughout the movie, I couldn't help but wonder how a team of eight commandos rip through 500 or more soldiers, without suffering any scratch or injury! Well, even if we accept that they are very strong and brave, some of the scenes are plain 'ridiculous.'
All those who missed Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the prequel will see more of these macho guys in the second part. But they are somehow missing in the 'action' part.
Chuck Norris, who makes his debut with The Expendables 2 is a little irritating and the strange music that plays in the background whenever he's on screen is quite funny!
The Expendables 2 takes off in style. Sylvester Stallone and his team rescue a Chinese businessman from a Nepalese Shantytown. Mr Church (Bruce Willis) offers him a job which goes sour and results in the death of new recruit Liam Hemsworth. Stallone and his team vow revenge. The rest of the film focuses around their efforts of tracking down the villain played by Van Damme and his henchmen.
The Expendables 2 is a nice film to watch as long as you don't bother to think about the logic behind the scenes! Watch it for the masala and power-packed action!
