the
Student
Academy
Awards
2023,

renowned
for
recognizing
emerging
talents.
The

Kumar,

is
the
result
of
hard
work
by
all
of
us.'

Mutton
is
a
heart
touching
story
which
revolves
around
a
middle-class
family
and
the
problems
they
face
during
the
lockdown,
when
many
people
have
lost

The

Reaching
The
Oscars
Is
A
Dream
Come
True
Talking
about
the
film's
journey
leading
up
to
the
Oscars,
Falak
Khan
told
Filmbeat,
"I
am
very
excited.
The
journey
from
Bihar
to
Mumbai
and
till
here,
seems
like
God
has
rewarded
me
for
that.
Every
actor
aspires
to
reach
the
Oscars.
It
is
the
lifetime
dream
of
everyone
in
the
film
industry.
And
to
get
this
opportunity
so
early
in
our
career,
it
was
beyond
expectation.
Getting
love
and
respect,
everything
feels
like
a
dream
to
me."
The
actress
told
that
the
shooting
of
Champaran
Mutton
has
been
done
in
Baramati
village,
near
Pune.
She
said,
"Chandan
(Roy)
and
I,
for
about
12-15
days
we
lived
that
character.
Maybe
that's
why
people
liked
our
chemistry
so
much."
Want
To
Be
An
Artist
Like
Manoj
Bajpayee
&
Pankaj
Tripathi
Earlier,
Falak
Khan
has
also
worked
in
a
short
film
named
Sarai.
She
says,
"It's
always
been
my
wish
that
people
know
me
as
a
performer.
Everybody
wants
to
be
a
star
and
a
superstar.
I
too
have
a
dream,
but
not
just
a
heroine,
I
want
to
make
an
identity
as
a
performer.
Like
Pankaj
Tripath
or
Manoj
Bajpayee,
we
have
so
much
respect
for
them
as
an
artist.
I
also
want
to
reach
there."
I
Understand
No
Big
Director
Will
Launch
Me
In
Bollywood
After
struggling
for
about
6
to
7
years
in
Mumbai,
Falak
is
now
hopeful
that
the
film
industry
will
give
her
some
big
opportunities.
She
says,
"I
also
understand
that
no
big
director
will
launch
a
girl
from
Muzaffarpur
(Bihar).
No
matter
how
big
my
profile
is,
I
might
not
get
a
chance.
But
now
that
one
of
my
films
has
become
recognized
internationally,
so
now
some
big
opportunities
are
coming
on
my
way.
And
I
think
now
I
should
get
opportunities
because
I
have
proved
myself.
It
is
every
actor's
dream
to
do
mainstream
cinema.
I
am
just
waiting
for
good
scripts
now."
Worked
For
Free
In
Many
Shows,
Got
Rejected
Many
Times
Falak
says
that
Shah
Rukh
Khan's
films
had
a
big
impact
on
her
as
a
child.
Talking
about
her
journey,
she
said,
"It
was
very
difficult
for
me
to
enter
films.
My
family's
background
has
been
academic.
I
was
also
very
good
in
studies,
so
everyone
had
high
expectations
from
me.
As
I
grew
up,
TV,
films
,
Shah
Rukh
Khan,
they
all
had
a
great
influence
on
me.
Slowly
I
realized
that
I
am
interested
in
acting
and
I
want
to
make
a
career
in
it.
Obviously
everyone
at
home
was
not
ready,
then
I
did
engineering
first.
After
that
I
came
to
Mumbai
to
do
MBA
because
I
had
to
reach
here
by
any
means.
Then
the
second
phase
of
my
struggle
started
from
here.
I
didn't
know
anyone
here.
But
on
the
way
I
met
some
good
people,
then
I
started
getting
some
work."
Falak
says,
"I
came
to
Mumbai
in
2016.
Slowly
I
came
to
know
about
the
auditions
and
all.
I
got
rejected
many
times.
Many
times
I
was
signed
for
small
roles
in
big
films,
but
later
those
roles
were
trimmed
to
none.
In
the
beginning
I
worked
for
free
in
many
shows
because
I
wanted
to
build
my
profile.
Slowly
I
started
getting
a
lot
of
work.
I
also
worked
in
some
serials
and
some
films.
In
the
meantime
I
got
a
chance
to
do
'Champaran
Mutton'.
The
film
has
gone
to
many
film
festivals
and
is
getting
a
lot
of
love.
So,
yes,
I
am
very
happy."
