Duniya fame Vijay's Jarasandha is a stylish action flick, which is fabricated with all the necessary mass elements. Director Shahshank has written a script keeping the actor's image in mind and has tried his best to blend the ingredients - actions, songs, sentiments, love and thrill – well. He has partially succeeded in his mission.
Krishamurthy alias Kitty (Vijay) is a gym trainer, who is happy leading life with his mother (Roopadevi). His aim is to win the Mr India title and Naidu (Rangaraya Raghu) is sponsoring him by baring all his expenses. In the first hour, we are introduced to his friends and simultaneously to don Poojari, whose men are assassinated by another gang Z. Samantha (Pranitha) comes in between and falls for Kitty. However, by the end of the first half, there lies a twist that unmasks Kitty's other face. Meanwhile, the cops are waiting for the arrival of Ravi Poojari after his brother was killed by Z gang. The rest of the second half is all about the battle between the two gangs to rule the underworld.
The movie starts off in style. Former DGP (Devaraj), who is being criticised for his controversial book 'Jarasandha'- which demands a drastic change in our judicial system - narrates a story - of Vijay - from the book. While the initial part draws your attention in the first half, the remaining is boring. However, by the end of the segment one, the thrilling twist brings back you to the film. In the second, the story runs in a good pace that makes you to recover from the early blow.
