But it does not seem to live up to the hype that was created before its release.
Johny Mera Naam Preethi Mera Kaam is an action-cum-romantic cinema. Vijay's action and Ramya's glamourous performance are the major highlights. V Harikrishna's music, S Krishna's camera work, Rangayana Raghu and Dattana's comedy and dance and action sequences, dialogues, art direction, make up and costumes are the other attractions.Although the movie has predictable storyline, Preetham Gubbi has made it an interesting watch by mixing it with all the commercial elemens.
The first half of the film is very interesting and entertaining. Especially, Rangayana Raghu and Dattana's Shahrukh-Kajol act is worth of your money. But the movie hits the rough patch after the interval as the director has devoted the second half to show the heroism of Johny. The lengthy climax tests the patience of the viewes. Johny (Duniya Vijay) is a social worker residing in a middle class housing colony called 'Gandhi Colony'. He is everyone's favourite in the area and has enough love to shower on everyone. He even runs a Johny Social Service Center to address their woes. But he is bowled over by an NRI girl named Priya, who returns from America to 'Gandhi Colony', where her grandfather (Dattana) resides. Despite being a black boy, how Johny wins the heart of the white girl will form the climax of the movie.
