Maanikya is a offical remake of Telugu superhit movie Mirchi and it is a romantic action movie in which, Sudeep, Varalaxmi Sharathkumar and Chikmagalur girl Ranya are playing the main lead roles. while crazy star Ravichandran and Ramya Krishna are playing important roles in this movie. Story Sudeep, who is an architect based in Abroad, where he falls in love with Ranya at first sight. He returns to his village area to reform his violent family background. With the help of bank manager Sadhu Kokila, Sudeep makes good advancement in winning the appreciation of everyone in Ranya's family. Here unfolds an interesting twist in the story. Sudeep shares strong connection with Ravichandran, who is an arch enemy of Ranya's family. Meanwhile, Ranya also realises that Sudeep is romantically linked with another woman Varalaxmi. What happens next will form the crux of the story, which should be watched on screen. Beside acting Sudeep is also directing this movie. N. M.
