Director Rajashekhar had done his first movie Amrutha Vani with a love story. When the subject did not yield expected amount of success, the director seems to have taken a diversion from the subject in his second directorial venture Parole, which had headlines for all wrong reason.

Rajashekhar has chosen a thriller and suspense story for the movie Parole. He has even included a couple of real life incident in the film. The script has no loose ends and the suspense is kept till the very end, which is superb. With gripping narration, meaningful dialogues and perfect plot, he has tried to make it a good watch. He seems to have given a new dimension to commercial films.

The movie Parole revolves around how father Shantha Murthy avenges the murder of his son Rahul by killing his four friends. The first half is an out-and-out suspense thriller and deals the reason for murders and the investigation. The second half is even more interesting with emotions and suspense.
