Rajanikantha Critics Review

Vijay has grown as an actor over the years. With his ability to do action sequences without using body double, the Duniya star has created a niche for himself in the Sandalwood.

In the recent years, his movies have done reasonably well at the Box Office and his last flick Bheema Theeradalli, which was later rechristened as Chandappa, won him lot of appreciation for his brilliant performance despite the film being marred by controversies.

Now, Duniya Vijay is back with Rajani Kantha. The movie has generated a good hype through trailers and songs, not to forget his recent personal life issues. Let us see what the movie has to offer. Read on for the review...

The first half is not strong and the loose screenplay gives a first blow to the movie. Though the film appears good at parts, the film tries to keep you engaged after first 30 minutes. Bullet Prakash's comic acts bring relief on a few occasions and Vijay's role of a cleft-palate victim is good to watch.

The second half goes on the predictive lines. However, the film has a good story and has been a wonderful watch had the director given a good shape to the screenplay. Nonetheless, there are moments, which have been well written. In the second half, the brothers' caring for each other scene is touchy.

Duniya Vijay has done a good job. The actor will definitely get good appreciation for the role of a cleft-palate victim. His dialogue delivery has to be praised. Aindrita Ray has done her usual role and Bullet Prakash is at his best. Arjun Janya's two songs are good and Giri's cinematography looks okay.

Verdict: Rajani Kantha has a good story but the narration is bad.
