Dattana for change of best regional timings

The two times national award winning actor Dattanna has urged the Bangalore Doordarshan director Mahesh Joshi to form a team of his colleagues and strongly argue for the old system of best regional film telecast in Doordarshan. This system was earlier in practice and on Sunday at 1.30 pm the best regional films term by term were telecast in Doordarshan. Now it has shifted the telecast at 11.30 pm and thus the purpose which DD has made has suffered badly feels Dattanna.

It was a marvelous national integration work done by DD. All language films were seen by all the people at the right time of telecast with very good financial support to the quality film makers. The shifting of time, reducing the telecast amount and fixing a separate remuneration for best Hindi film is not called for from Doordarshan that claims it is Sameepadarshana nowadays.

Doordarshan should revert back to its old system with new pricing pattern for best regional films that have won national awards immediately urged Dattanna at the get together party of T.S.Narasimhan's Katha Saritha recently at KSCA club.
