Not Maasthi it's Masthi

The name of Ramu Enterprises new presentation featuring Super Star Upendra and glamour girl Jennifer will be Masthi. This information was disclosed by the producer Ramu and Director Shivamani who addressed a press conference to provide information about the title. According to the duo, the title had a majority approval from many of the Kannada film fans who had sent in their opinions about the title of the film.

"We had sought opinions from film fans through newspaper advertisements. Many of the film fans felt that the new title should have some connection with the earlier title we had for the film.

Before starting the shooting of the film we had decided to have the title as Maasthi. But since the title attracted lot of criticism from the Kannada literary personalities and the pro Kannada activists, we were constrained to drop the title. Then we called for film fans opinion and the overwhelming opinion was that the new title has to be Masthi. Accordingly we have decided to have the title as Masthi said Shivamani.
